HOW TO PLAY

Welcome to the Magic Meatball!

Move with WASD, and watch in amazement as your shadow moves in tandem!

Left Click on items to pick them up, and if you don't need it, you can throw it with left click as well!

When carrying an item, use Right Click to place it where it belongs! Can't be serving guests raw pizza dough, right?

You also deliver the finished product by Right Clicking on the customer!

Forget what a recipe needs? Hit R! It's also good for skipping cutscenes for when you want to try to beat your high score!

This game is so fun! It feels good to slowly get better at this game, tossing ingredients back and forth! My second run's time was 1:52, but it would for sure stay compelling if I tried to push it down further and optimize the crap out of it! The intro sequence is also wonderful. It would be neat if one half could pick up and use items without the other one trying to throw theirs, but I don't know how hard that would be to implement or how much it could screw over a newer player.

That is something I would love to implement next. Thank you for the suggestion!

Very cool idea! Unfortunately the ingredients drop too fast and too often. I like the lack of time limit, you should add one in a later level, maybe have the first few levels without one to get people used to the idea, and also maybe alternate people ordering because it makes you need to use both characters, I could beat the whole thing with one OR the other. Controls are good, art is good, I would like to see this expanded! Great work

Thank you for the feedback! New levels and a tutorial level are definitely on our list of to-do.

This was a fun brain teaser and really loved the art style. Nice!

Thank you!

Nice concept, well executed, beautiful art.

Well done!

Thank you!

The fact it's a timed challenge rather than a "get X amount of orders in X time" is something I am rather grateful for considering my first run took me four minutes, hah. Pixel art for the level itself looks super nice. I do have to wonder if there's anything to stop the player from just tunnel visioning and using only one side (unless they need to throw ingredients across), though. Fun entry!!

I guess technically the player could only use one side, as all objects (both potion and food ingredients) spawn on both sides, but then that would defeat the purpose of getting a quick time. I think if I had more time, I would focus on adding more logic to the item spawn. At the moment, it just spawns all 8 items at random, but I would love for it to take in account the current orders! Thank you for the feedback!

Hey, nice gameplay -feel and the inverted-controls felt challenging and nice!
The gameplay is a bit too messy and hectic tho. Also I feel like the intro movie didn't add much to the game. Maybe the kitchen would have benefited from some obstacles that you'd need to manouver around, asymmetrically placed in the kitchens different sides perhaps?
Music and sounds... sound cool! The pixel art and the look of the game were really tight, cool retro aesthetics! Good job overall!

Thank you for the feedback! I was struggling trying to keep the balance of chaos and it being too slow. We will definitely add more obstacles! Thank you again!

This was such a cool mechanic and I was so overwhelmed but it was really nice and I love the timer so it has more replayablitly. Really cool art and music.

Thank you for the feedback!
